Oculi is designed to work with as little data as possible.

Information stored on your device
Oculi stores your favourite artworks, viewing history, streak, colour mode, onboarding status, and reminder preference locally. This keeps your experience between sessions, and the information is not sent to an Oculi server.
Information the app does not collect
Version 1.0 of the app does not ask for an account, name, email address, location, or access to contacts. It contains no advertising, cross-app tracking, or proprietary analytics tools.
Website waitlist
If you choose to join, oculiapp.com stores the email address you provide so we can tell you when Oculi launches. No account is created, and your email is neither sold nor shared for advertising, nor used for other messages. You can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to hola@oculiapp.com.
Images and external services
Authorised reproductions are served from Oculi's media library at media.oculiapp.com. The two works from the Museo Nacional del Prado remain hosted by the museum while we verify its reproduction terms; when they are requested, the Prado may receive standard technical connection data, such as your IP address.
Notifications
The daily artwork reminder is optional. Oculi only schedules it after receiving your permission. You can turn it off in My Museum or in iOS Settings.
Control and deletion
You can withdraw notification permission at any time. Deleting Oculi from your device also deletes the information stored locally by the app.
